Days become longer and the weather gets warmer in the temperate zone because the Earth tilts relative to its orbital plane around the Sun. In many parts of the world plants grow and flowers bloom. These exquisite drawings are by Pierre Joseph Redout, an artist born in Belgium in 1759 and who died in 1840 in Paris, France. He was known for painting the most delicate looking flowers and especially roses which are
