Die beiden Mnner hatten sich fest vorgenommen, die Brennerei im gleichen Jahr, als Knigin Victoria ihre 60 jhrige Regentschaft feierte in Betrieb zu nehmen, um das erste Fass noch im Jahr des Jubilums zu fllen. Sie schafften es auch tatschlich allerdings ohne dass sich in der Destillerie Fenster und Tren befanden. Speyburn 10 Jahre reifte die
