The sandy soils here meant that phylloxera never took hold so that most of the vines are ungrafted

and it is incredibly impressive

Here the mildly toasty nose is marred by post malolactic fermentation aromas though there is good freshness to the attractively textured middle weight flavors that aren’t especially dense though I like the verve and salinity on the delicious and lingering finale
