Description
Since it spends six years sur lattes
black fruits and smoked herbs all emerge from this medium to full-bodied
I would drink this outstanding champagne for its own merits
An even more floral blend is composed by notes of mostly essence of pear and apple
Otherwise here too there is fine volume and mid-palate density to the most obviously mineral-driven flavors that terminate in a tightly wound and super-saline finish where a touch of bitter lemon adds lift
Jean-Paul Droin, Chablis Montee Tonnerre Vintage:2017 Since it spends six years(from Cte de Brchain; 20 to 25% of new, 1, 2 and 3 year old wood). Like the Vaulorent there is plenty of mineral reduction present on the fresh nose of tidal pool, pear and floral scents. The textured, powerful and solidly intense flavors possess good size and weight before concluding in a lemony and impressively persistent and bone dry finale. Interestingly this powerful effort isnt quite as refined though it is even more complex. (91 93) 2025+
